The Relentless Bride: a very special Orange County wedding

I first met Amy Jean on March 5th 2009. I know this because this is the first day we were open at our current location and she is the first bride I met with here. She was referred to me by Paola at Just Chic Events and they both came in with all sorts of great ideas. I was excited but will admit that my mind was on the 12 years worth of acquired stuff still needing to be unpacked. I kept meaning to get Amy’s  her quote to her but with unpacking and all I just wasn’t getting to it. Of course at night I was still going home and unwinding in my usual way. Wedding blog stalking. I read wedding blogs every night. I read wedding photographer blogs, coordinator blogs, bride blogs, Wedding Chicks and Style Me Pretty……..every night for about an hour and often times two or three hours. I love wedding decor! It isn’t only how I make my living but a hobby as well.

Around December of 2008 I had started to follow a bridal blogger who lived in Washington DC but was getting married in Orange County. At the time she was doing a review of  each venue she went to . Every few days there was a new  OC venue and a new review. For some reason I was really intriqued by this. The reviews were nice too. She wasn’t negative but just warmly analytical. I really liked the Relentless Bride. blog. I liked it enough to read every post anyway but apparently not enough to know the Relentless Brides name or what she looked like. So fast forward a few months to mid March 2009 when I received an email from Paola asking where my quote was. I hurriedly threw the quote together and emailed it off to Paola and her bride. A few minutes later I got a message from Amy Jean. It was something like ‘Thanks for the quote…Amy Jean and underneath the Relentless Bride.’ I took a deep breath and then another and at some point I contacted Paola and told her I really wanted to do the Relentless Brides wedding. A year ago yesterday I did just that. I actually no longer think of Amy Jean as the Relentless Bride but as ‘my bride Amy with the yellow tulip wedding.’ If I do your wedding you become a “Flower Allie bride” or “my bride” for life……. here finally a year later is the wedding.
