Nixon Library Wedding – Caroline and John

Caroline’s parents live across the street from me so when it was time to pick out a florist her mom pretty much just told me she wanted me to do the flowers. I think when Caroline viewed my portfolio she was a little freaked out because there was hardly any foliage in any wedding done by Flower Allie in recent years. I assured her I had noticed foliage was really coming back and that I had developed a huge new found appreciation for all things in nature. Not just flowers. We didn’t want too much greenery so we settled on hints of daintier greens – passion vine, ruscus, smilax and on the arch we added in a little ficus to keep the cost in a happy place. I think it turned out just so pretty and really captured the essence of Carolines style just perfectly. And isn’t she just stunning!Don’t you just love the Juliette garden roses!!! I am predicting these will be the must have flower for 2012! Much like the peony of 2010 and the dahlia of 2011. Oh and peach.Peach is a color I am seeing a lot of for 2012. Welcome back peach….I have always loved you and now I can admit it again!!!!!
