Insiration boards – every bride should have one!

Good Monday morning! I woke up so excited for this week. Today I get to attend a surprise  award assembly for my kindergartner where he will win best kindergarten something. Yeah Dave! Then on Thursday we are doing a photo shoot for an international magazine and this weekend I am once again headed to Westminster Presbyterian (the church in Father Of The Bride, Wedding Crashers and a bunch of other movies) for a wedding with 100’s and 100’s of peonies! To a working mom a week  like this is like hitting the lottery.

But anyway what leads me to this post today is my love of inspiration boards. I LOVE INSPIRATION BOARDS! They are my absolute favorite thing in the world to look at. As an artist I am inspired by them on every level and as a person I often see myself living inside one. So you can only imagine how happy I am to have discovered Pinterest! I just signed up last night (and though I haven’t figured out how to make my own board quite yet) I spent hours looking through all my Twitter and Facebook friends boards. If you are a bride you have to sign up for Pinterest and if you are a future Flower Allie bride you would absolutely make my week if you brought one of these boards to your next meeting.

Below is one of the boards that the magazine provided for this weeks shoot. How fun is this! I will post the picture of the bouquet that we come up with later in the week…..

I also wanted to  to share this board because it feels so much like the direction I am hoping to go with the re design of Flower Allie. With both my assistant Annie and my event stylist Nick being interior designers you would think we could move a head with this a little quicker but at this point we just need a little less real work first!
