Even though we are in Fullerton I feel like people don’t think of us enough when they are getting married or having their reception at Villa Del Sol. I was there again yesterday and everyone was really complimenting us on the florals and I must of heard 5 or 6 times ‘Oh Flower Allie your the ones who did the pomegranate wedding’. I don’t mind being known at all for doing a good pomegranate wedding. I love pomegranates and my husband and son spent an hour climbing up the steep hill across from our house while lugging a ladder to pick these. As a matter a fact when the uber creative bride Noreen first presented me with her ideas I knew I was the florist for her simply because I had loads of free pomegranates. So this is a Fullerton wedding complete with homegrown Fullerton fruits… I am so proud of this one it was such a great collaboration of ideas between Noreen, her husband Simon and myself and it is just beautifully photographed by Made By Juvenia.

Blush and cream winter wedding at the Summit House in Fullerton

If there is one thing we do a lot at Flower Allie it is blush and cream weddings but this was my first time doing the winter version of our signature light and fluffy style and I just love it. Angela gave me a budget and let me run with it. She just ask that we use some babies breath and fill up the large royal table. Angela was married overseas a few months ago and so we kept things pretty and simple but also warm, inviting and elegant. I have seen the Summit House look much more over done than her e(in fact of done many, many huge lavish weddings there) but I have never felt that the ballroom looked any more perfect than it did on this beautiful day at the end of December……..

Jamie’s wedding at the Fullerton Arboretum

I have been on site at over 1000 Orange County weddings and I never get tired of the Fullerton Arboretum. To this day the most romantic wedding I have ever seen was on a fall evening at the Fullerton Arboretum. It is just a magical venue and a beautiful setting no matter what your taste is. Most of the weddings I have done at the Fullerton Arboretum over the years have had really rustic florals and decor so when I heard Jamie was getting a big white tent with chandeliers I was beyond excited. Every detail of her wedding was just glorious and perfect her taste is exquisite and this is by far one of the best Fullerton weddings I have seen.

Leah’s wedding was just filled with my favorite flowers in my favorite colors. Garden roses and succulents are supposed to be the most popular bridal florals this year and I am just in love with the combo together and this is my favorite Flower Allie wedding of the year. So far anyway, but we are still barely in June with over 100 weddings still to go…..

Another Rancho Las Lomas wedding from last year that I never blogged…and one of my favorite brides of the year! Such a pretty classic wedding with Jen’s style written all over it…..we were able to fill the head table with flowers from the aisle and girls bouquets…..

This was my first wedding at Marvimon House is LA and I was equal parts excited and and thinking this is going to be a lot of work…. Jen and Moe collected over 100 vintage silver containers and each of them were to contain the perfect mini arrangement or succulent garden. When we first met and were figuring out how many vessels they needed. 9 groups of three per table. So 9 per table times 12 tables plus more to be placed all over the venue – I thought they were gonna be like everyone else and give up after 30 and come back and tell me “we are only going to do 3 vessels per table now it was just to much work…”. But no, not Jen and Moe they came back with I think 140 little vintage silver masterpieces two weeks before the wedding. If you are a florist reading this think about planting 70 little succulent gardens and then making 70 more mini arrangements all eclectic and different. This is work and to top it off I was in love with this wedding and didn’t want my staff to touch it… I spent days creating. I think I planted on Monday and Tuesday and then spent the whole day with an assistant Thursday to do the mini arrangements and this was on a weekend we had 6 weddings where I normally don’t do more than bridal bouquets and overseeing everything….

Anyway I absolutely, positively love this wedding. I love the couple and there sense of style and I love the pictures from Brandon Kidd who is one of the best photographers in the world in my opinion. I love the dessert buffet and I adore the table and the runners….I love, love, love how Jen and Moe describe their style……

I wanted something slightly vintage, Moe wanted something modern, and we both wanted an urban city feel. So we tried to incorporate each of those things into a cohesive overall look and feel. Most importantly we wanted something fun and celebratory instead of formal and programmed. So we made sure that whatever we decided, in the end everyone would walk away feeling like they participated in the day and had the best time.
